The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, management, and execution of work for assigned construction projects. The Project Manager may be assigned responsibility for one or more projects while looking to maximizing each projects profitability. He/She should promote the Company's objectives and goals through the performance of his/her job, meeting quality and safety standards as well as meeting owner expectations. The Project Manager is expected to assess and respond to customer needs and cultivate customer relationships through proactive interaction with project Owners. This position must also foster the fundamental Company business philosophies though his/her leadership as the Project Manager. This includes the process of training and developing employees under his/her supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the overall planning, management, and execution of the construction project from inception to closeout.
  2. Ability to control all financial aspects of a construction project including the project budgets and cost reporting.
  3. Lead/Participate in monthly job cost reviews and declare project status to Executives.
  4. Assists in the preparation of project estimates including the ability to lead internal coordination for a proper buyout and project transition from preconstruction.
  5. Participates in value engineering services as appropriate during preconstruction.
  6. Leads the project team in developing/preparing the Project Management Plan (PMP).
  7. Organizes and conducts pre-award negotiation meetings during buyout.
  8. Participates in the negotiation and preparation of project subcontracts.
  9. Prepares a project schedule and develops milestones necessary to successfully complete the project in concert with the Project Superintendent.
  10. Manages project materials and equipment procurement within the project's budget constraints and consistent with the project delivery schedule.
  11. Monitors the project site for cost, safety, quality, risk management and schedule performance with the project superintendent. Including the ability to evaluate the schedule to all planned meet milestones and financial goals.
  12. Interacts with all company departments to ensure company policy and procedures are carried out and corporate objectives achieved.


  1. Bachelor's degree in a commensurate field of study pertaining to the construction industry.
  2. Three or more years in the role of a project manager, and as the project team leader.
  3. Strong negotiation skills.
