Summary

The Communications Coordinator manages all social media content for Layton Construction, including the implementation of the social media strategy through content creation, copywriting, graphic design, and data tracking analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Creates multiple daily posts across all social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
  2. Implements social media strategy as defined by Layton's Communications/Public Relations team.
  3. Develop graphic templates to further enhance messaging.
  4. Monitor and report on social media analytics for Layton as well as applicable competitors.
  5. Coordinate with Public Relations Managers and Communications Director on social media needs for specific business units.
  6. Keep current on social media trends and best practices.
  7. Assists Public Relations Managers with the planning and successful implementation of groundbreakings and facility openings.
  8. Assists Public Relations Managers in the development and implementation of marketing programs such as events, trade shows, seminars, direct mail campaigns, etc.
  9. Coordinates submission of award nomination forms related to completed construction projects.
  10. Maintains mailing lists for company newsletters and publications and ensures timely distribution.
  11. Assists in the creation of marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
  12. Assists in the creation and delivery of corporate newsletter and other internal content as necessary.
  13. Assists with other Communications/Public Relations responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations or related fields.
  2. Has experience with all social media platforms and tracking tools, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  3. Is organized: Can establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.
  4. Has strong written and oral communication skills; communicates clearly in writing and uses correct spelling and grammar: Must exhibit good interpersonal skills.
  5. Work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and demands.
  6. Performs essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others.
  7. Must pass mandatory drug testing.
  8. 2-4 years working experience in daily social media management or a related field preferred.

This is a full-time position located in our corporate headquarters in Sandy, UT. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Experience in the A|E|C Industry is preferred but not required.
