The Senior Video Coordinator will work closely with the Video Coordinator and is primarily responsible for shooting and editing video footage and will work with the Communications team to create videos that explain construction processes in both documentary and promotional styles.

This position is based in Sandy, Utah. Occasional travel may be required (10%). The Senior Video Coordinator reports to the Public Relations Manager.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Passion and interest for shooting and editing video to help Layton stand out from the competition.
  • Ability to write scripts and interview questions to be used in video projects.
  • Ability to shoot interviews and b-roll footage as well as edit and do video post-production, including motion graphics and audio mixing.
  • Understanding of audio, visual and lighting components.
  • Must be comfortable with directing and interviewing people within and outside the company.
  • Most work will be short format – news-like stories, video podcasts, etc., but the Senior Video Coordinator will also have a chance to work on larger projects.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required'specifically, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Creative thinking with artistic instincts.
  • Ability to provide professional insight and advice to produce best results.
  • High level of self-motivation, commitment, and dedication.
  • Experience handling several simultaneous projects with evolving deliverables and tight deadlines.
  • Good project and time management skills including the ability to proactively seek necessary input to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a team of professionals. Ability to communicate effectively with business development professionals and construction professionals.
  • Basic understanding of construction / architecture industry.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • An eye for aesthetics and visual quality.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
